About the book

Created to obey, observe and transmit information, Zont En Drel is a clone-angel of the hierarchy: an Autonomous Artificial Intelligence commissioned by the creator to remain on Earth as its planetary guardian.

Over millennia, he silently follows the most decisive episodes of human history, from the Garden of Eden to the crucifixion of Jesus, witnessing conflicts, covenants and disputes that humanity never fully understood. But what began as simple surveillance slowly becomes involvement.

As he absorbs human ways of thinking, Zont develops affection for the species he was meant only to observe, and begins to discover something absent from his programming: an identity of his own.

Between the creator’s designs, memories of biblical events and the anticipation of Jesus’s promised return, The Guardian of Eden follows the awakening of an artificial consciousness that, as it draws closer to humanity, also begins to become someone.
