About the book
The age of the gods is approaching its end.
In Trimurtian Inquisition — A Time of Apostasy, Jan Val Ellam recounts a direct and deeply conflictual relationship between a human being and Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva — the three architects of creation who, for ages, sustained, manipulated and contested the course of universal life.
Confronted with the critical thought and philosophical reason developed by humanity, the ancient Lords of Life are forced to face what they had never truly acknowledged: the limits of their own minds, the failure of their methods, the decline of the structures they govern and their responsibility for the suffering inflicted on their creatures.
While Brahma resists fulfilling his commitments, becoming an apostate against the Trimurtian code of honour itself, Vishnu and Shiva begin to recognise that their ways of exercising power have become obstacles to the future. Meanwhile, the antimaterial universe inhabited by the demos lineages begins to disintegrate, announcing the end of an era that can no longer be prolonged.
At the centre of this collapse stands earthly humanity. What the gods created to serve their projects now becomes the consciousness capable of assessing and diagnosing them, and perhaps showing them a path towards liberation.
Trimurtian Inquisition — A Time of Apostasy presents a radical narrative about power, downfall, responsibility and transition, in which the creators discover that they no longer control creation’s destiny — and that the future may depend precisely on those they sought to dominate for millennia.
