About the book
This book presents the idea that personal reality is created by each individual’s beliefs. Thoughts, emotions and expectations organise perception and give rise to lived events, forming a coherent pattern of experience.
Beliefs function as active structures that select and interpret reality, either expanding or limiting experience. Many originate in childhood, but can be consciously examined and transformed.
Combining explanation with practice, the work offers methods for identifying and changing beliefs, making concrete changes in life possible. It argues that the conscious mind directs inner processes and that the point of power lies in the present.
Taken as a whole, it proposes a vision in which individuals cease to be passive and assume an active role in creating their experience.
